How do you ensure that your employees put their shoulder to the wheel, that they support projects and fulfil their responsibilities? How do you motivate them to take initiative? You are not born a leader. Inspiring leadership gives you some insights and skills that support you in carrying out a powerful vision, and getting yourself and your employees energized.

Flipped programma

The training session consists of 4 days in total and covers 3 modules: it starts with a two-day session, followed by 2 separate sessions of 1 day.

 

In advance

Before the training starts, you will receive the following assignments to prepare:

  • A feedback document concerning your performance
  • A self-observation questionnaire to observe yourself in relevant managerial situations

Based on this input, you will formulate your personal expectations and questions for this training.

 

During the training session

Module 1: essence (2 days)

  • Vision of leadership: what is an inspirational leader?
  • What are the incentives and inhibitors in the development and results-oriented performance of the employees?
  • Influencing behaviour: influencing others starts with you.
  • Situational leadership: what is the most effective leadership style for any employee?How to assess the maturity of the employees? How to stimulate the development of the employees? How, when and to whom delegate? How to coach employees? Understanding your own preferred style and flexibility in using different styles.
  • Communicating with impact: giving and receiving feedback, dealing with resistance, bringing bad news.

Module 2: working with teams (1 day)

  • Success factors of a top team: you know the strengths and weaknesses of the way your team works.
  • Group interaction and team dynamics: you will get an insight into both the visible and invisible group processes and their impact on the functioning.
  • You know what intervention is needed and have a plan of action to concretely take the next step.

 

Module 3: How to guide your team through a change process? (1 day)

  • Stages in a process of change: psychological and emotional impact
  • Designing a change process: 8 steps in successfully guiding the change
  • Communication in a change process: elevator speech, when, why, what and how?
  • The will to change and the commitment of co-workers.
  • When to let co-workers participate in the decision taking and how? You guide your co-workers in finding the solutions and this way create auto-responsibility and self-direction.

 

Afterwards

As a community member of Learning Circles:

  • you have access to the shared materials
  • you can contact your trainer for a free consultation

This training starts from and builds on your practice, experience and learning goals. In the training we create a constructive, interactive, self-driven, results-oriented and safe learning environment.

Our training also has an interactive character with varied methods. We bring short, convenient models and allow you to work with practical exercises.
